AMADEO CARVALHO
Amadeo Carvalho is a contemporary artist born in 1985 in São Vicente, Cape Verde, and currently living in London.
He began his career in 2022 with an exhibition at the W Hotel in London. In 2023, he exhibited at the Centro Cultural do Mindelo, in Cape Verde, and at the Centro Cultural Cabo Verde, in Lisbon. Since then, he has participated in artist residencies and group exhibitions in Cape Verde and São Tomé.
Amadeo's work explores his cultural heritage, highlighting themes such as the importance of Black Women and family ties, using a technique that combines poetry and painting to inspire reflection and connection.
